On Friday 4th July a PYD crew were involved in the dramatic rescue of a shipwrecked British sailor off the West coast of Chalki Island in the Rhodes Channel. The lone sailor Len Bartlam was on passage to Turkey when he ran aground and his yacht ‘Amanda D’ was lost. Len was rescued from an isolated rock and is pictured after his dramatic rescue with PYD Skipper Robin Kenny (on the left).
