90 footer arrives in Antigua in time for charter booking
After being let down by the cancellation of a last minute ship borne delivery pyd were called in. Afterwards the skipper wrote:Dear Phil,We are now in Antigua and all your crew should be at home safe and sound.I would like to say congratulations on a job very well done; which won't any surprise to you or me! On the basis of that we need to start thinking about the east bound delivery which should be around the last week in April.Wishing you a happy New YearKindest regardsPaul
ARC class winner delivered to start by pyd
Thanks Adrian, and thanks also for looking after the boat - it was in great shape when I got to it. Would have let you know before now, but left your details at home. Currenty in a cafe in Bequia paying my bills!ARC race was great, 30 knots and kite up the whole way - max speed 18 kts Tobago Cays are the best place in the world - the west coast of scotland will never be the same again. Re: Delivery of IXION – Oyster 55I am writing to say that Ixion was safely delivered from Antwerp to Ipswich by your crew and I am delighted in the way the whole operation was so smoothly carried out by PYD, and, especially bearing in mind the very ‘last minute’ arrangements that had to be made due to the late arrival in Antwerp of the transport vessel.Upon arrival in Ipswich Ixion was left in immaculate condition by the delivery crew with a full report of all their observations about the boat en route. ….I cannot let this opportunity pass without commenting on the outstanding service you have provided.The delivery was made in Winter conditions in February , over a distance of 1990 sea miles from Glasgow , Scotland to Barcelona, Spain. The crew experienced snow at the departure date and storm force winds during the journey of 15 days, nevertheless the delivery was made on time and the cost was completely in accordance with the quotation that you provided. Additionally, I received from you a progress report on the journey every 48 hours.Upon arrival the captain gave me a comprehensive and detailed written report relating to the boat and its systems throughout the journey and I consider this to be very valuable.
