Super Yachts, Classic Yachts and AeroRigs
Larger vessels require special skills
They are complicated and expensive assets with sophisticated systems, which only the most experienced Captains and crew are qualified to operate.
Generally such boats are manned by permanent crew, but there are occasions when the resources of an experienced delivery company can be helpful. An owner may have recently purchased a superyacht and require it to be moved to a new home port or cruising ground; a Captain or key crew member may be temporarily ill or on leave; the vessel may be being re-located prior to sale, after the long term crew have been released...
Whatever the circumstances pyd can help.

AEOLIAN Delivered April 2011 from the Med to the UK by pyd
Within our skipper's group we have a number of Captains, who have substantial experience of superyacht operation and also hold the prestigious MCA Master (Yacht) qualification, which enables them to operate vessels up to 3000GRT. These highly capable individuals can be supported by First Mates, deckhands and engineers as necessary, or work with a yacht's existing crew - often at short notice.
We also have the skills in place, both centrally and on the water to provide a long term management package which can take much of the stress away from yacht ownership.
pyd has skippers with Aerorig experience
We have delivered several Aerorigs recently. One of the notable contracts was for pyd to fly a crew from the UK to the Great Lakes to deliver 'Blue Sky Messenger' an S&S Aerorig 65 from Manitowoc WI to Coles Point VA.
