Nigel, I’ve been meaning to email sooner.
I just wanted to convey both mine and the other Tom’s thanks to you and your wider team of Phil and Mick for an amazing experience crossing the North Sea.
Whilst like chalk and cheese Phil and Mick were absolutely spot on as skipper and mate for ourselves. Phil’s dry sense of humour, no nonsense approach to safety of crew and boat with direct instruction and Micks ability to pass down his knowledge onto others were key attributes that contributed to a great team effort for getting Oculus Storm and ourselves 720nm safely to Hamble. Again I can’t speak highly enough of Phil, Mick and PYD’s organisation and noted support during the transit.
